Eligibility Criteria for UNFPA Global Internship Roster 2025

• Open to bachelor’s and master’s students as well as recent graduates from around the world.
• Applicants must be:
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and have completed at least one full academic year, OR
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate (master’s) program, OR
  • A recent graduate, applying within one year of graduation.
• Participation as part of a postgraduate professional trainee program is also acceptable.
• Must demonstrate a strong interest in the field of development, particularly in areas aligned with UNFPA’s mission (reproductive health, gender equality, population issues, etc.).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English or French is required.
• Applicants must also know the official language of the UNFPA duty station (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish).
• Should have the ability to adapt to diverse environments and build effective working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Applicants cannot have close family members (parents, children, siblings) working as staff members at UNFPA.
